My daughter laughed at this idea. She said, “Neither Scott nor I have red or curly hair. There’s no way she’s going to be a redhead.”
But I knew because I had already seen her in my mind.
As the doctor delivered Charlotte into the world, the nurse commented, “I think she has red hair.”
My daughter replied, “My mom paid you to say that, right?”
Nope, I just knew because I had already seen her.
Sure enough our little Charlotte is a curly redhead.
When she was pregnant, I sent my daughter the above meme. I told her that I thought Charlotte would definitely be more Batman than princess. She disagreed. She said, “She will be a little princess.”
When Charlotte turned 1, my daughter admitted, “You were so right mom, she is definitely a Batman!” She’s a runner, a tumbler, a feisty little redhead. Definitely not a princess.
She was surprised, but I wasn’t. I knew because I had already seen her.
