As I get older, I find myself wanting to simplify my life. I have been focusing on decluttering, purging, and donating since the beginning of the year. My New Year’s resolution was to declutter and I’ve really jumped in with both feet. Closets, drawers, cabinets - I’m working my way through them all.
I’ve jumped on the Marie Kondo bandwagon. If you’re not familiar with Marie, she is the star of Tidying Up on Netflix. She has some great suggestions for how to fold and organize your things that I just love. She suggests that you only keep things that “spark joy” in your life. So I’ve decided that if something doesn’t spark joy, it’s off to Amvets.
What I’ve found out through this process is that opening a neatly organized drawer or closet truly does spark joy! Now, if I can just keep these spaces joyful!
