I lean back, close my eyes, and listen to a story.
I’ve never been a big fan of audio books, but I’m coming around. I just finished an exceptional one, filled with a cast of readers to play all of the parts. “Sadie” by Courtney Summers.
There’s something relaxing and soothing about having a story read to me. It takes me back to my childhood, and those teachers who used to read aloud to us. That’s how I first fell in love with books. My 4th grade teacher read “My Side of The Mountain” to our class, a chapter each day until the book was finished. I became an avid reader after that.
I still love reading a book to myself, but sometimes it’s nice to just close your eyes and say, “Tell me a story.”
